Having a heart that is burdened for world evangelism is what God desires of every believer. The Bible states that because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Developing lives that invest in the world and taking the Gospel to the world is a vital part of the ministry at Eastland Baptist Church. From the annual Faith Promise Missions Conference to the short-term mission trips by church members to help on mission fields, we are making investments that are impacting lives in world evangelism. Our desire is to support quality missionaries but also to send out those from our ministry who have been impacted and called by God.
Our Sunday school is designed for teaching the Word of God, fellowship among God’s people, evangelizing the lost by personal relationships and discipleship rooted in the Bible. Our Sunday school is for all ages, from the nursery to the ELITE (our mature citizens) with a variety of classes.
The Youth Ministry of Eastland Baptist Church is a very important part of our church. Teenagers have their character and beliefs challenged from all sides and they need to know what they believe and why. The goal of our youth ministry is to help our young people develop their own set of core beliefs about God, the Bible, and the Christian life. We want our teens to recognize the fact that they belong to God and to have a desire to worship and serve Him.
During the Sunday School hour, we meet in the Youth Center building located behind “C” building. This is the time when we go through God’s Word and discover how it can be applied to our young people’s lives. Wednesday Worship is an atmosphere of friendship and fun, with emphasis on the truths of God’s Word.
We realize our teens are a vital part of the church ministry, today!! We want our teens to be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only” as James 1:22 instructs us. Teenagers are encouraged to participate in various aspects of ministry such as teen choir, visitation, helping with Jr. Church, sound ministry, and music.
The first Sunday night of each month we have Sunday Night After Church (S.N.A.C.). This is a time to just hang out, eat some food, and play carpetball or pool while watching a movie. In the winter, we have our annual Ski Trip to Winterplace, WV and we go to Trinity Youth Camp in Keystone Heights, FL during the summer. During the year, we also do various activities such as putt-putt, bowling, scavenger hunts, rock climbing, the various theme parks in Orlando and more.
Eastland uses a personal visitation program to follow-up on each individual & family who has recently attended a church service. This personal touch enables our members to invest into their lives by familiarizing them with our people, programs and our philosophy of ministry. Not only do we want to genuinely befriend them but we also take the time to share the gospel with those whose hearts the Lord is drawing, encourage those who have hurting hearts and provide Biblical direction to those who have ventured off the path. If folks are searching for a church, we take the time to answer their questions along with getting to know them and helping them find the right church for them or their family.
Please join us on Monday for a time of service to the Lord.
Central Florida Children’s Home, Incorporated was founded in 1973 by Eastland Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Clyde F. Green. Our organization operates under its own Charter and Board of Directors, and is solely supported by its donors and volunteers—we do not receive State or Federal funding.
Our mission is to care for children whose parents either cannot or will not provide for them due to certain circumstances in the child’s life, and/or difficulties in the parents’ lives.
As a faith-based community, we provide a Christian atmosphere and a real ‘home’ atmosphere by assigning children a “mom and dad”. This creates a secure environment where the children can experience unconditional love and nurturing. An emphasis is placed on academic achievement to insure that the children are well prepared for higher academic studies or vocational training for the job market. Our children are assigned chores and responsibilities to help develop character and discipline, skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Providing a quality education is important to the administration and faculty of Eastland Christian School. As a college preparatory school, Eastland stresses academic excellence. Whether preparing students for higher education, vocational training or the job market, Eastland Christian School is committed to preparing students for the future. Eastland Christian School is accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
